Gazprom Export LLC has filed a lawsuit against Lubmin-Brandov Gastransport (LBTG), a subsidiary of the German company Uniper, in the arbitration court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The relevant information was published in the file of the arbitration court.

It is specified that the statement of claim was submitted to the court on December 5, but the details of the case have not yet been disclosed.

LBTG owns a 20% stake in the OPAL gas pipeline, which is an onshore extension of the Nord Stream pipeline. OPAL connects Nord Stream with the gas transmission network of Central and Western Europe and has a capacity of 36 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

Technically, the gas pipeline is operated by GASCADE Gastransport GmbH, before it was nationalized by the German government, it was called Gazprom Germania and was a subsidiary of Gazprom, adds "Газета.Ru ".

The defendants are also the law firm Pinsent Masons and the German company Commercium Immobilien und Beteiligungs GmbH.
