Leonid Tambiev left the post of head coach of HC Admiral

Leonid Tambiev, the head coach of the Admiral hockey club, has left his post. This was announced on December 6 by the team's press service.

"Admiral's head coach Leonid Tambiev and senior coach Andrey Banada have been suspended from their positions due to the team's unsatisfactory results," the club's Telegram channel says.

Ilnur Gizatullin became the acting head coach.

According to Sport-Express, the 55-year-old coach has been in charge of the team since 2021. Prior to that, he coached such clubs as Saryarka, Metallurg Novokuznetsk, Dynamo from St. Petersburg, Riga, as well as youth and youth national teams of Latvia.

Earlier, on December 3, Alexander Galchenyuk resigned as head coach of Khabarovsk HC Amur of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). It was clarified that the contract with the coach was terminated by mutual agreement.
