In Russia, it is prohibited to cut down trees without a permit and, in case of violation, a fine is provided. This was announced on December 6 by Igor Pozdnyakov, Director of the Consumer Protection Department of Roskachestvo.
"The amount of the fine depends on the severity of the violation. For cutting down trees for citizens, the fine will be from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles," he said in a conversation with RT.
