The political scientist predicted mass resignations in the European Commission due to the corruption scandal

The European Commission (EC) may be dissolved due to a corruption scandal related to the detention of former head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini. This assumption was made on December 5 by Vladimir Olenchenko, a senior researcher at the European Economics sector of the Center for European Studies of the IMEMO RAS.

"The EC does not give up and continues to look for ways to transfer assets to Ukraine. Perhaps the Belgian authorities got tired of this confrontation and decided to play a trump card so that the European bureaucrats would be distracted by solving their own problems," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
