The Directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has declassified archival documents on the war crimes of fascist collaborators in the territory of Krasnoarmeysk during the Great Patriotic War. This was reported on December 6 in the press service of the department.
The Expert Commission published the acts of 1944, which testify to the large-scale atrocities committed by Nazi collaborators against Soviet prisoners of war and civilians. According to the department, on the territory of the Krasnoarmeysky district, the Nazi authorities organized camps for prisoners of war, where torture, torture and murder were carried out.
The documents indicate that 1.5 thousand people died at school No. 4 in the city of Krasnoarmeysk from overwork, hunger, torture and executions, and 1,326 people at school No. 3. At mine No. 19/22 named after 1212 people died at Shevchenko mine No. 5/6. Dimitrova — 1,420 people.
Mass executions were recorded in the village of Sergeyevka, including hangings, shootings and murders with extreme brutality — a total of 3,250 Soviet prisoners of war died. In addition, executions of prisoners of war were also recorded in the Zverevsky, Zelenyansky and Ulyanovsk village councils. 256 people were shot on the territory of the Krasnolimansky village Council.
In total, 14,286 people were tortured and killed by the Nazi invaders on the territory of the Krasnoarmeysky district.
On October 28, the FSB of the Russian Federation declassified documents about the atrocities of the Ukrainian SS battalion "Galicia" against civilians in the Lviv region during the Great Patriotic War (WWII). The documents cite the testimony of Corporal Herman Schaper, who participated in the shootings of more than 50 Soviet citizens, including children. He was arrested and sentenced to death by a Soviet tribunal in 1946.
