One of the largest Cloudflare hosting providers, whose services are used by many Internet resources, has experienced a malfunction. The relevant information was published on the Downdetector portal on December 5.

The website notes that the peak of failures occurred at 12:12 Moscow time.

"Scheduled maintenance is currently underway. We will provide updates as needed," the company's website says.

Cloudflare is an American company providing security and performance optimization services for websites and online services. It acts as a reverse proxy, protecting websites from DDoS attacks, speeding up their downloads using CDN, and offering other features such as DNS management and secure Connection (HTTPS).

The previous Cloudflare outage was on November 18. Users have reported disruptions to a number of popular online services. Failures affected the social network X (ex. Twitter), the music streaming service Spotify, as well as the gaming platforms League of Legends, Valorant and Facei.
