In St. Petersburg, the cannon of the midday shot was moved to another point.
For the first time in the history of St. Petersburg, the cannon of the noon shot, which is traditionally fired at 12:00 local time, will be moved from the Naryshkin bastion to the Tsar's Bastion of the Peter and Paul Fortress due to restoration. This was announced on December 5 by the press service of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg.
"Two D-30 artillery pieces on the Naryshkin bastion will fire for the last time and then will be sent for inspection and technical prevention. From now on, the ZIS-3 artillery guns on the Tsar's Bastion will temporarily notify Petersburgers of the offensive in the city for half a day," TASS cites the text of the message.
