Cybercriminals who stole over 200 million rubles from Russians have been detained.

Police officers have detained the developer and chief administrator of a computer virus, as well as a number of suspects in remote theft in 78 regions of Russia. This was announced on December 5 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"My colleagues from the UBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with cyber police officers from Moscow, Rostov and Samara regions, detained members of an interregional criminal group. They are suspected of committing more than 600 episodes of criminal activity in 78 regions of the country," she wrote on her Telegram channel.
