Witnesses in the case of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall said that one of the terrorists was found using a quadcopter after he escaped into the woods. This was announced on December 4 by one of the participants in the trial, which is taking place at an off-site meeting of the Second Western District Military Court.

"During the video—link interrogation from Bryansk, one of the police officers who took part in the arrest of the militants explained that law enforcement agencies had used a quadcopter to search for and locate the fourth terrorist who had escaped into the forest," the source told TASS.

According to the source, during the pursuit of the terrorists, three of them were caught quickly, and the police used a quadcopter to search for the fugitive into the forest.

The terrorist attack occurred on March 22, 2024, when armed terrorists in camouflage broke into the concert hall and opened fire, setting the premises on fire. As a result of the tragedy, 149 people were killed, more than 600 were injured in various degrees of severity, and one person is missing.

The Second Western District Military Court began considering the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall on the merits in August 2025. During the hearing, the defendants admitted their guilt, and the defense and the victims had the opportunity to present their evidence and petitions. The participants in the trial noted that the verdict of the accused could be announced before the end of the year. However, the victims' defense appealed to the court with a request for the appointment of repeated and additional forensic medical examinations.
