Former NBA player and 2004 champion Elden Campbell has died at the age of 57. This was reported on December 3 by NBC.

"Elden Campbell, a kind giant who grew up in Inglewood and dreamed of Lakers gold <...> has died at the age of 57," the material says.

The cause of his death is not specified.

Campbell, who plays as a center, was selected in the 1990 NBA draft with the 27th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers, where he spent 8.5 seasons.

In addition, Campbell played for the Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Hornets, Seattle Supersonics, Detroit Pistons and New Jersey Nets. In the 2003-04 season, he became the NBA champion with Detroit.
