Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev has been included in the main crew of the upcoming Crew-12 mission instead of Oleg Artemyev due to the latter's transfer to another job. This was announced on December 2 by the press service of the Roscosmos state Corporation.

"Cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev is included in the main crew of the Crew-12 mission instead of Oleg Artemyev. This decision was made in connection with Oleg Artemyev's transfer to another job," the state corporation said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that the launch of the Crew-12 space mission is scheduled for the first half of 2026.

The fact that Fedyaev will replace Artemyev became known the day before. However, the reason for the reshuffle was not given.

On November 11, test cosmonaut Sergey Kud-Sverchkov spoke about the preparation of the space crew members for the flight to the ISS. It was clarified that the American partners would work on their segment of the ISS and perform the same tasks — to engage in science and pilot cargo ships. According to Kud-Sverchkov, the training on the Soyuz simulator was the most interesting and difficult.
