The Swedish government will allocate more than 1.1 billion Swedish kronor to Ukraine for civil assistance. This was announced on December 2 on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country.

"The government is presenting Ukraine with a new package of civil support in the amount of more than 1.1 billion Swedish kronor to meet the country's most urgent needs," the statement said.

It is noted that the new aid package will be aimed at meeting the "most pressing needs" of Kiev, in particular, funds will be allocated for energy supply, reforms and healthcare. It is specified that the total amount of assistance will amount to 1.112 billion Swedish kronor.

Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Steenergaard said on November 20 that Scandinavian countries spend the most on supporting Ukraine among NATO members. According to her, this is unreasonable and unfair, especially in conditions when other states do not show similar activity.
