The Russian military carried out an airstrike on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sumy direction, as a result of which foreign mercenaries from Poland and the Czech Republic were eliminated. This was reported in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"As a result of an accurate airstrike, a group of foreign mercenaries as part of the 47th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed. There are dead Czech and Polish mercenaries," RIA Novosti quoted the text of the message.

It is specified that the assault units of the North group, with the support of aviation, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems Solntsepek, continue offensive operations in the Sumy region.
