Kirill Keker, the former head coach of FC Kairat, has died at the age of 46.
Kirill Keker, the former head coach of Kazakhstan's Kairat football club, has died at the age of 46. This was announced on December 1 by the club's press service.
"Today, at the age of 46, Kirill Sergeevich Keker, the head of the FC Kairat Academy, suddenly passed away," the FC website says.
The cause of death is not specified. Kairat added that Keker had been an "essential part" of the club's system for more than a decade and one of those who "determined the vector of development" of Kazakhstani football.
The coach took over FC in June 2022 after the resignation of the current coach Kurban Berdyev. Later, in April 2024, Keker left the position. In 2025, he began working with the Kazakhstan U-19 youth national team.
