Russian President Vladimir Putin reacted humorously to an explanation of the traditional structure of a Kyrgyz yurt during a visit to Bishkek. The corresponding video was posted on his Telegram channel by journalist Pavel Zarubin.

During the cultural program for the heads of the CSTO states, the leaders were told that in Kyrgyz yurts, the right side is for men, and the left side is for women and storing dishes.

"When a man was told to 'go left,' there was nothing wrong," the Russian president joked.

Putin's visit to Kyrgyzstan took place on November 25-27. In an interview with Nomad TV, the Russian president thanked Kyrgyzstan for consolidating the Russian language as an official language. He added that Moscow sees Japarov's efforts in connection with the invitation of Russian teachers to new schools. In addition, Russia and Kyrgyzstan have a lot of areas of joint work, Putin said.

Prior to that, on November 26, Putin and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, following talks in Bishkek, supported the need to form a sustainable architecture of equal and indivisible security in Eurasia. Russia and Kyrgyzstan have expressed their intention to make a "practical contribution" to this process.

At the meeting, Putin also said that he had discussed with Japarov issues of expanding military-technical cooperation (MTC) and military cooperation. According to the head of state, he and his Kyrgyz counterpart have also outlined plans for joint work in countering terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking and organized crime.
