- CPC: further operation of the outrigger berth after the attack of the backups is not yet possible
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) reported significant damage to one of its outrigger berths, VPU—2, as a result of a Ukrainian attack by unmanned boats in the waters of the marine terminal. This was announced on November 29 by the CPC press service in the Telegram channel.
The company noted that further operation of VPU-2 is impossible, and shipments at the terminal will be resumed only after threats from unmanned and unmanned boats are eliminated. Seawater sampling and environmental monitoring are also currently underway.
"Further operation of VPU-2 is not possible. Shipments at the terminal will be carried out in accordance with the established rules when the threats of back—up and UAVs are canceled," the message says.
CPC unites the largest fuel and energy companies in Russia, the USA, Kazakhstan and a number of Western European countries, providing oil transportation from the Tengiz, Kashagan and Karachaganak fields.
Also earlier that day, it was reported that in response to the incident with the CPC berth, loading and other operations at the terminal were stopped, and tankers were diverted outside the CPC water area.
On November 25, the building at the CPC marine terminal near Novorossiysk was damaged as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). According to the CTC, there are no casualties among the employees.
