RCN has repeatedly appealed to Roblox to remove the prohibited content.

Since 2019, Roskomnadzor (RCN) has repeatedly sent notifications to the Roblox platform demanding that access to prohibited materials be restricted. The agency announced this on November 29.

"There is a large amount of inappropriate content in the gaming space that can negatively affect the spiritual and moral development of children, conditions and prerequisites for committing illegal actions are being created," the RCN statement cites TASS.

According to the decisions of the authorized bodies, since 2019, in accordance with Articles 15.1 and 15.3 of 149-FZ, the agency has sent notifications to the Roblox administration, demanding that access to prohibited materials be restricted.

Roskomnadzor added that the monitoring confirms the inability of Roblox's internal moderation system to ensure 100% security of content appearing on the platform.

On November 28, Roskomnadzor announced new restrictions for WhatsApp (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). According to the agency, the messenger continues to violate Russian law: it is used to organize and carry out terrorist actions on the territory of Russia, to recruit their perpetrators, for fraudulent and other crimes against our citizens.
