The Russian women's national football team lost to the DPRK team in a friendly match. The match took place on November 27 in Pyongyang at the Kim Il Sung Stadium and ended with a score of 2:5.

Medea Zharkova and Anna Kozhnikova scored goals for the Russian team.

The Russian team is holding a training camp in Pyongyang from November 22 to December 2. Russian football players will play their second friendly match with the DPRK team on November 30. Russia ranks 28th in the ranking of the International Football Federation (FIFA), according to Sport-Express.

In July last year, the first of two planned friendly matches between the women's national football teams from Russia and North Korea ended in a loss for the home team. The winners had goals scored by Song Ok Hong in the 30th minute, Zin Hong Han in the 34th and Soo Rim Kim in the 85th minute of the match.
