The CSKA Football Club initiated an appeal to the Expert Refereeing Commission of the Russian Football Union (RFU) after controversial episodes in the match of the 16th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) against Spartak, which ended with a score of 0:1. On November 25, Sport reported-Express" Kirill Breido, Director of Communications at the Army Club.

"In the fifth minute, Alexander Maksimenko played a tough game against Danil Krugovoy, as a result of which our player ended up on the lawn and was injured. The episode was ignored: there was no violation of the rules for rough play, no penalty was awarded for contact and a fall in the penalty area, although the round robin was the first on the ball, after which a foul was committed on it," he said.

In addition, the claims relate to a goal scored in the 43rd minute, when, according to CSKA, Spartak player Igor Dmitriev violated the rules against goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev by blocking him with his hands when giving a corner.

The meeting of the teams took place on November 22 at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium. Spartak midfielder Christopher Martins scored the only goal in the 67th minute.

On November 22, Braido noted that he expected a quick trial by law enforcement officials in connection with an incident in which Spartak fans beat an army fan after a match.

On the eve of the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk said that 95 people were detained in Moscow for violating public order during and after a football match between Spartak and CSKA. At the same time, the CSKA fan who provoked the conflict has already appeared in court: he was given five days of administrative arrest and banned from attending official sports competitions for a period of three years.
