The United States and Great Britain are actively manipulating Europe in the context of resolving the Ukrainian crisis. This was announced by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with the YouTube channel of the Franco-Russian Dialogue Association, published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

He also recalled that in April 2022, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson banned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky from signing a document that had already been initialed and was based on Kiev's proposals.

"Britain's role is already here. She made herself felt, too. The British also like to manipulate Europe in the same way that the United States does," Lavrov said.

During the conversation, Lavrov also noted that Europe is no longer being listened to on the issue of resolving the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the European elites have put on the line their conviction that with Kiev's help they will be able to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Moscow. According to the minister, Europe depends on the United States both in terms of security and its foreign policy.

He believes that the leaders of Europe, with their harsh statements towards Russia, are trying to distract their population from internal problems.
