The press service added that the great interest of foreign partners in the AK-12 is due to the effective use of the machine gun in the free zone, and the portfolio of export contracts for 2026 has already been fully formed. The 2023 model differs from previous generations in its thoughtful ergonomics, adaptation to daily use, and increased accuracy and accuracy of fire.

It is also specified that a new 5.45 mm shortened AK-12K submachine gun was created and put into production as soon as possible for the assault and reconnaissance units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the contract for which was also successfully completed in 2025.
