The sequel to the film "Red Silk" called "Black Silk" will preserve the historical atmosphere of the detective, but with the addition of spectacular combat scenes and new locations. One of the main features of the film will be the action on a Japanese ship and a giant airship.

"The tandem of Milos Bikovic and Maxim Matveev is very unexpected and, moreover, I will not disclose all the details, but it is a crazy tandem. We have a lot of Chinese actors again, and we're going to have Japanese actors now," said Vadim Byrkin, general producer of the film Black Silk.

The key role in the film is played by actress Zheng Hanyi, who plays a character named Lin. Unlike the first film, her character becomes stronger and more independent, turning from an assistant into a real agent with her own mission.

Actor Gleb Kalyuzhny, who is currently serving in the army, but is actively preparing for his role, will also take part in the film. For a deeper immersion into the atmosphere of the 1930s in Shanghai, a special set will be created so that the actors can work not only in front of the chromakey, but also in real conditions.

Filming will begin in March 2026, and the film is scheduled to premiere in 2027. The first part of the franchise, "Red Silk", which was successful in both Russia and China, has already become an example of successful cooperation between the two countries in the field of the film industry.

Actress Zheng Hanyi, who played the role of Wang Lin in the joint Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk", on November 23 told how her character changed in the upcoming sequel to the film "Black Silk". According to her, the heroine has become stronger and more serious. Hanyi added that Lin is facing a lot of difficulties and is fulfilling her own mission.
