Supporters of the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine in Europe are actively trying to influence the administration of US President Donald Trump in order to prevent the achievement of a sustainable peaceful settlement. This was stated on November 22 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with the International Life magazine.

"In the period after Anchorage, we are witnessing an extravaganza of anti—Russian outbursts and an equally intense flow of actions from our opponents and supporters of the continuation of the conflict, of which there are many, especially in Western European capitals, in terms of their impact on the Trump administration," he said.

Ryabkov recalled that Russia proceeds from a long-term solution to the conflict in Ukraine and the complete elimination of its root causes.

Sources told Politico that the proposal of the special representative of the President of the United States, Stephen Witkoff, who was actively involved in the development of the document, jeopardizes the approval of a loan for Ukraine, which was proposed by 27 EU countries.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said yesterday that the decision-making space for Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is shrinking. He stressed that the rejection of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and the continuation of a special military operation (SVO) is "senseless and dangerous" for Ukraine.
