Two children fell through the ice in Novosibirsk
In Novosibirsk, two schoolchildren fell through the ice while walking. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the city.
The tragedy occurred on November 21 on the Ina River near Zarechnaya Street. Two boys aged 11-12 years old were walking on a frozen pond and fell through the ice. Eyewitnesses managed to pull one child out of the icy water. Three men lined up in a chain, took a rope in their hands and pulled the boy out of the icy water.
"The second child, who was only 10 years old, went under the ice and was dragged by the current," the rescuers said.
Divers began searching for the child's body. They also involved a remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicle. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the boy's body was found about 100 m from the sinkhole site, 30 m from the shore, and raised to the surface.
Earlier, on November 21, it was reported that in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, an all-terrain vehicle with five passengers partially fell through the ice. The incident occurred 25 km from the village of Aksarka in the Ural region. All the people were rescued and taken to Salekhard.
