A passenger of a tram in Kazan died after falling in the cabin
A criminal case has been opened in Kazan over the death of a tram passenger after a fall in the cabin. This was reported on November 21 in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Tatarstan.
"On the evening of November 19, 2025, in the city of Kazan, the driver of [tram] No. 4, driving away from the stop, sharply accelerated, as a result of which she lost her balance and a 62-year—old passenger fell," the report says.
It is specified that the woman was taken to a medical facility, where a day later she died from a traumatic brain injury.
The investigative authorities have initiated a criminal case related to the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements. The investigation will provide a legal assessment of the actions of officials responsible for ensuring the safety of passenger transportation.
Earlier, on November 18, it was reported that five people were injured in the city of Babushkin as a result of a car falling into a lake. It was clarified that all participants in the accident were 15 years old. They received minor injuries in the form of bruises and abrasions.
