- The Russian Ambassador to South Africa spoke about the interest in Russian vodka in Africa
Russian vodka is of great interest in South Africa, and the organization of trial shipments is currently being worked out. This was announced on November 21 by Russian Ambassador to South Africa Roman Ambarov.
"This area is also very promising in trade between Russia and South Africa, and we are working on it. There is great interest among South African partners, and the issue of organizing trial deliveries is currently being worked out," Ambarov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He added that vodka from Russia is already exported to many countries and is considered a benchmark in its category.
Lyndia Vazulu, a member of the African National Congress from South Africa, said in an interview with Izvestia that during the BRICS–Europe symposium held in Sochi from November 14 to 15, steps were outlined to further grow and develop joint relations between Russia and South Africa. She added that the presence of representatives from many countries especially strengthens the positive steps within the framework of the platform, such as the development and strengthening of unity.
