A Russian man who died on a tanker off the coast of Istanbul suffocated from chemical fumes. The wife of the deceased informed Izvestia about this on November 20.

According to her, the ship's executive officer informed her about her husband's death. He said that the man felt a strange smell and went to check its source. The victim's wife admitted that she did not know all the details of the incident, but added that her husband had worked in the shipping industry for a long time.

She expressed confidence that her husband would not go into a dangerous area without a protective suit, as he always emphasized the importance of safety.

The death of a Russian on a tanker off the coast of Istanbul became known on November 19. It was noted that two more people were injured as a result of poisoning with an unknown substance. There were 13 crew members on board, all of whom have Russian passports.
