The Ministry of Labor told about the increase in insurance pensions in Russia from January 1

In Russia, insurance pensions will increase by 7.6% from the beginning of 2026. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Labor Andrei Pudov.

"Insurance pensions will be indexed from January 1 immediately above inflation — by 7.6%, as a result, the average size of old—age insurance pensions will increase by almost 2 thousand rubles and amount to 27.1 thousand rubles," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to the Social Fund, as of October 1, the average old-age insurance pension was almost 25.2 thousand rubles. The indexation will affect all recipients, both working and non—working pensioners. In total, the increase will affect 38 million citizens.

In addition, social pensions will be increased.
