Putin took part in the ceremony of installing the reactor vessel at the Al-Dabaa nuclear power plant

On November 19, Russian Leader Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi took part in the ceremony of installing the reactor vessel of the first power unit of the El-Dabaa NPP.

The presidents of the two countries gave permission for its installation in Egypt during a videoconference.

"I am proud to announce that we are fully ready to install the reactor vessel of the first power unit of the El Dabaa NPP. <...> We are starting the installation of the reactor vessel of the first power unit," said Sharif Helmi, Chairman of the Egyptian Nuclear Power Plant Authority.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 19 that the construction of the El-Dabaa nuclear power plant in Egypt with the participation of Russia is progressing successfully. Putin also noted that the Russian Federation will continue to provide assistance to Egyptian partners at all stages of the construction of nuclear power plants.
