The State Duma commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attempt to strike Russia with ATACMS missiles

Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from Crimea and a member of the security committee, called Kiev's use of American ATACMS missiles to attack Russian territory a deliberate provocation. He made the corresponding statement on November 19.

"The Kiev regime has gone to a deliberate provocation to use American missiles to disrupt consultations and negotiations between Russia and the United States on a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian military conflict," Sheremet said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

Sheremet also stressed that it is necessary to figure out whether Kiev acted independently when deciding to attack Russia's civilian infrastructure with American missiles.

He noted that the Kiev authorities, led by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, seek to draw the United States into an open confrontation with Russia at any cost.
