The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Andrei Belousov, instructed to develop a rating of the country's regions in terms of the number and quality of support measures for participants in a special military operation. He announced this on November 19 as part of an interdepartmental meeting on simplifying and speeding up the receipt of social support measures by the participants of the SVO.

"I am instructing you to develop a rating of regions based on the number of support measures and their participation in ensuring that these support measures are delivered to recipients...> through digital services <...> and through the IFC," he said.

According to Belousov, the task of simplifying and speeding up the process of obtaining social support for SVO fighters cannot be accomplished without the active participation of the subjects of the Russian Federation, since it is there that benefits are implemented.

He stressed that in some regions there are higher risks in the implementation of this task. The minister noted that the number of support measures can reflect how seriously the region takes care of its veterans.

On November 13, the press service of the Russian government announced the expansion of the list of military personnel eligible for compensation payments instead of retirement pensions. It was clarified that military personnel under the contract who performed tasks to repel armed invasion and provocations in the regions bordering their homeland would receive monthly compensation in the amount of a full pension for their service.
