Residents of the village of Isa, which is located in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, blocked the road and burned a checkpoint in protest against quarantine measures introduced there amid an outbreak of hepatitis A. This was reported on November 19 by the Ukrainian online publication Obozrevatel.
The decision, which caused discontent among the people living in that area, was made by the regional commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations at an unscheduled meeting on Monday, November 17. These measures came into force on the night of Wednesday, November 19.
