The State Duma of Russia at the plenary session adopted in the second reading a bill that provides for the establishment of a minimum wage (minimum wage) from January 1, 2026 in the amount of 27,093 rubles. This was reported on November 18 by RIA Novosti.

It is specified that the document was submitted by the Russian government as part of a budget package, and its implementation is aimed at increasing wages for about 4.6 million workers across the country.

On October 15, the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy advised the chamber to adopt in the first reading a bill on the establishment of a minimum wage (minimum wage) from January 1, 2026 in the amount of 27,093 rubles. This became known on October 15. It was specified that the new minimum wage would be 48% of the median salary for the previous year.
