One of the largest Cloudflare hosting providers, whose services are used by many Internet resources, has experienced a malfunction. The relevant information on November 18 follows from the data of the Downdetector portal.
"Cloudflare is aware of the issue, which potentially affects many customers, and is investigating it. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available," the company's website said.
Cloudflare is an American company providing security and performance optimization services for websites and online services. It acts as a reverse proxy, protecting websites from DDoS attacks, speeding up their downloads using CDN, and offering other features such as DNS management and secure Connection (HTTPS).
Users have also reported disruptions to a number of popular online services. Failures affected the social network X (ex. Twitter), the music streaming service Spotify, as well as the gaming platforms League of Legends, Valorant and Faceit. Individual users also report problems with access to the ChatGPT neural network, added "Газета.Ru ".
Earlier, on October 15, large-scale failures were recorded in the work of the YouTube video hosting service. Users have filed more than 300,000 complaints about the site. The majority (55%) noted problems with video streaming. Also, 33% reported a malfunction in the mobile application.
