Lyudmila Kokoreva, an Honored Artist of Russia, a teacher at the Moscow Conservatory, has died at the age of 85. This was announced on November 17 by the press service of the Conservatory.

"The Rector's Office of the Moscow Conservatory deeply regrets to announce the death on November 17, 2025 of Lyudmila Mikhailovna Kokoreva, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Art History, Professor of the Department of the History of Foreign Music," the educational institution's website says.

The conservatory added that information about the memorial service will be announced later. Kokoreva was born in Kharkov in 1940. In the 1960s, she actively collaborated with the All-Union Radio as a freelance writer.

In addition, Kokoreva has also prepared and conducted more than 30 radio broadcasts on a wide variety of topics about Russian and Western European music and has covered more than 50 years of teaching.
