In ten months, the volume of cider production reached 10.13 million dal, which is 21.1% more than in the same period last year. This was reported on November 17 by TASS with reference to data from Rosalokoltabakcontrol.
In addition, growth was also recorded in the mead category.: output increased by 10.3% and amounted to 3.36 million dal.
At the same time, the total volume of fermented beverages remained virtually unchanged, decreasing by only 0.3% to 774.16 million dal. The production of beer and beer drinks showed a similar trend — minus 0.6%, the total volume amounted to 760.475 million dal.
In the segment of beer with a strength of 0.5–8.6%, a decrease of 1% was noted, while the production of stronger varieties fell by 8%. At the same time, the production of beer drinks increased by 2.1% and reached 101.045 million dal.
In the poiret category, a decrease was recorded in January — October 2025. Thus, the production of the drink decreased by 5.5% and amounted to 193.3 thousand dal.
Earlier, on November 16, it was reported that in September, beer imports from the European Union (EU) to Russia fell to the lowest level since the beginning of 2015. Only 3 thousand tons of products were imported into the country. Germany became the leader among suppliers, exporting 640 tons of beer, while Russia reduced its purchases by a third. Latvia is in second place in the list with an index of 622 tons.
