On November 17, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on a statement by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who allowed NATO to clash with Russia before 2029.

As Zakharova noted to RIA Novosti, such words from the German minister definitively clarify who exactly is acting as the aggressor. She stressed that after such statements, there is "no doubt about it."

Earlier in the day, Pistorius said that Russia could allegedly attack one of the NATO states before 2029. At the same time, he noted that the mentioned dates are getting earlier and earlier: the possibility of such a scenario has been discussed since 2028, and some analysts, according to him, even consider the past summer to be the last peaceful one.

On September 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that NATO and the EU continue to whip up hysteria around Russia's alleged plans to attack Europe. According to him, any sane person is aware that the Russian Federation has no desire to ever attack anyone.
