At least 42 Indian Muslim pilgrims from the city of Hyderabad were killed in an accident in Saudi Arabia. This was reported on November 17 by India Today TV channel.

"At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad died after a bus traveling from Mecca to Medina collided with a diesel tanker near Mufrihat in Saudi Arabia in the early morning," the publication said.

According to the TV channel, several more people were injured in the incident. It is noted that rescue services and local authorities arrived at the scene to carry out rescue operations. In addition, government officials continue to establish the exact number of victims and the identity of the dead.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar added that the country's embassy in Riyadh and the consulate in Jeddah are providing "all possible support" to the affected citizens and their families.

On the same day, the Yonhap news agency reported that two people were killed and four others injured in an accident involving 13 cars in South Korea. It is noted that the cause of the large-scale accident was the collision of two heavy vehicles: a 26-ton tanker truck carrying 24 thousand liters of bunker fuel crashed into the back of a 25-ton truck. After that, another collision occurred, as another 140-ton truck flew into the tanker truck from behind, which led to a further "chain reaction" on the road.
