Aliev announced the imminent completion of the construction of the Zangezur corridor

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that the construction of the Zangezur corridor on Azerbaijani territory is almost completed. He announced this on November 16, speaking at the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent.

"The construction of the Zangezur corridor in Azerbaijan is nearing completion," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Aliyev added that the railway, designed for a capacity of 15 million tons at the initial stage, will become an important part of the Trans-Caspian International transport route.
