The president of the Russian Association of Air Transport Operators Tasun has died
Vladimir Tasun, President of the Russian Association of Air Transport Operators, died at the age of 77. This was announced on November 15 by the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artem Korenyako.
"An aviator to the core, a witness and a direct participant in the events and tectonic shifts in the air transport system of the USSR and modern Russia, from the 70s to the present day," Korenyako wrote on his Telegram channel.
Tasun began his career as an engineer at the Tolmachev United Aviation Squadron, after which he continued to work at the West Siberian Directorate of Civil Aviation of the Moscow State Aviation Administration of the USSR. Later, he became the head of the Siberian Airlines concern and held key management positions in the region's civil aviation system.
From 2007 to 2014, until reaching the age limit for civil service at 65, Tasun served as Director of the Department of State Policy in the field of Civil Aviation of the Russian Ministry of Transport.
After completing his work in the department, he was elected President of AEVT.
