The former Minister of Agriculture of the Novgorod region is in custody.
Viktor Vitvitsky, ex-Minister of Agriculture of the Novgorod Region, was taken into custody. This was reported on November 15 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.
"At the request of the investigator of the Investigative Committee, the former Minister of Agriculture of the Novgorod region was taken into custody," wrote the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
Earlier, on November 14, it became known about the detention of Vitvitsky for suspicion of accepting bribes worth more than 6.5 million rubles. So, since 2020, the former minister has received funds from entrepreneurs in return for giving them "farm" subsidies and other support in matters of interaction with government and supervisory authorities.
