Russian robot Aidol reported recovery after falling on stage
The company that created the first Russian humanoid robot, Aidol, spoke on November 13 about the progress of its recovery after a fall at a presentation.
"I know many people are worried about my well-being. Don't worry, I'm in good hands. Recovery will not take long," the robot said.
Aidol described the rehabilitation process, noting that he was "given a drip of clean electricity and wiped lenses" to better see and cope with the flashes of dozens of cameras.
He also denied media reports that the project was created with state or corporate funds, stressing that its development was the result of "the faith and work of the developers."
The incident with the robot falling occurred earlier in the day during the demonstration. The robot entered the stage, accompanied by two people. When trying to wave his hand, he lost his balance and fell. At that time, Aidol CEO Vladimir Vitukhin stated that it was possible that the development had failed due to insufficient lighting or a malfunction.
