The import-substituted MS-21 successfully completed a long flight
The second import-substituted model of the Russian MC-21 medium-haul aircraft has successfully completed a long flight from Irkutsk to Zhukovsky in the Moscow region. This was announced on November 13 on the website of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec State Corporation).
"The long flight was completed successfully. The plane performed perfectly, all systems functioned without failures, fuel consumption was normal, we landed with the remainder," said the crew commander.
Earlier, the aircraft was replaced with domestic components and imported systems. The flight of the updated medium-haul airliner took place at an altitude of about 11 thousand meters at a speed of 800 km / h, the travel time was six hours and 15 minutes.
The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported on November 7 that the fully import-substituted SJ-100 (Sukhoi Superjet 100) successfully completed tests to protect Russian PD-8 engines from water ingress. It was noted that this type of test is one of the most important, since take-off and landing of the aircraft can be carried out, including during rain.
