Kiev will have to resume negotiations with Moscow, but it will have to do so from a much less advantageous position. This was announced on November 13 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing.

He noted that Moscow had paid attention to the statement of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the termination of negotiating contacts. According to Peskov, such statements "formalize the de facto situation," since there was no dialogue anyway.

"The Ukrainian side does not want to continue contacts, it is sad," Peskov said.

He stressed that in the absence of negotiations, Russia will continue to implement a special military operation and fulfill its tasks.

"The Ukrainian side <... She should know that sooner or later she will have to negotiate, but from much worse positions," the Kremlin representative concluded.

Earlier in the day, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, said Russia had done everything to continue negotiations with Ukraine. He clarified that the Ukrainian side was "unable to do anything" in the framework of the negotiation process.

On November 12, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Kyslytsia announced that Ukraine had officially halted peace talks with Russia by the end of the year.
