The coming winter may be the hardest for Ukraine during the entire conflict period. This was reported on November 13 by the newspaper Politico.

"Everything is going to make winter the most dangerous in this conflict for Ukraine," the newspaper notes.

According to Politico, the situation in the country is complicated by the financial crisis, corruption scandals and the deteriorating situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the battlefield. The publication also points to serious problems in the Ukrainian energy sector.

On November 11, it became known that the Tripoli and Zmiev thermal power plants in the Kiev and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine temporarily stopped working. The Ministry of Energy confirmed the damage to the facilities. The head of the department, Svetlana Grinchuk, said that the restoration has already begun.

On the same day, it was reported that Centrenergo's statement about the complete shutdown of state-owned thermal power plants caused a sharp reaction in the office of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky. After discussions, the company's initial publication was edited, adding language about recovery and elimination of consequences.
