Two-time Olympic champion in foil fencing, member of the Hall of Fame of the International Fencing Federation Yuri Sisikin died at the age of 88. This was announced on November 11 by the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Saratov region.

"Honored Master of Sports of the USSR in foil fencing, Olympic champion in 1960 and 1964 in team competitions, two—time Olympic silver medalist, <...> Yuri Fedorovich Sisikin passed away today," the department's Telegram channel says.
