Russian goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky of Florida rose to ninth place in the history of the National Hockey League (NHL) in terms of the number of wins in regular championships, scoring his 437th victory in the match against Vegas on November 11.

In the away game against Vegas (3-2), Bobrovsky scored 30 out of 32 deflected shots, which allowed him to match the number of wins with the legendary Canadian goalkeeper Jacques Plant.

Bobrovsky now shares ninth position in the historical NHL rankings with the six-time Stanley Cup winner. The record for wins belongs to Martin Brodeur (691), who played for New Jersey for most of his career.

In addition, Russian Vegas striker Ivan Barbashev scored his seventh goal of the season, which allowed him to become the third star of the match, despite the team's defeat.

Vegas is in third place in the Pacific Division with 18 points after 15 games, while Florida is in seventh position in the Atlantic Division with 17 points after 16 games. In the next match, Vegas will host the New York Islanders, and Florida will play Washington at home, Sport-Express adds.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Olympic champion, World Cup winner and Stanley Cup winner Alexander Mogilny was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Canada, during a ceremony. The Russian has been nominated for the Hockey Hall of Fame since 2009. He noted that all this time his fans and fans were pushing the athlete to become better.
