On November 9, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, reported on the critical health condition of Ukrainian citizen Sergei Kuznetsov, accused of the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream gas pipelines, who is in an Italian prison awaiting a final decision on extradition to Germany.

Kuznetsov's lawyer Nicola Canestrini announced on November 4 that his client was in an Italian prison awaiting a final decision on extradition to Germany and had gone on a hunger strike since October 31.

"I met with Galina Kuznetsova, the wife of Sergei Kuznetsov, who was arrested in Italy on suspicion of involvement in the bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipelines. The woman said that Sergei continues his hunger strike and is in critical health," Lubinets wrote on his Telegram channel.

He noted that he had taken the situation under personal control.
