The work of the metro and electric transport has been stopped in Kharkiv, Ukraine. This was announced on November 8 by the mayor Igor Terekhov.

"The subway is operating in shelter mode. Ground—based electric transport has been replaced by bus routes," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

As Terekhov pointed out, there is currently a "significant shortage of electricity" in Kharkiv. Also, according to him, temporary interruptions with water supply are recorded in the city.

Earlier in the day, the Ukrainian edition of Strana.ua" reported on the explosions in Kiev and Kharkov. According to the online map of the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air alert was announced in the Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
