The driver of actress Angelina Jolie, Dmitry Pischikov, who was detained earlier by employees of the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) in the Mykolaiv region, said in a video message that he had been released. This was reported on November 7 by the Ukrainian online publication "Страна.иа ".

Pischikov promised to tell us later what happened. He also said that he was fine, "no one was running away from anyone, no one was hiding."

Earlier, on November 5, it was reported that Jolie's alleged security guard had been detained by the staff of the shopping mall due to problems with documents. Then it was clarified that in this regard, the actress was forced to visit the military enlistment office near Nikolaev.

The Ukrainian edition of "Public" on November 6 clarified that the driver of the actress was detained. According to the detainee's brother, he did not serve in the army, but passed the military department. According to him, the man has back problems, he passed the military medical commission in 2025. Then it became known that he was fit to serve in the rear units.

The British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported that the actress' trip could have turned into chaos due to the fact that her driver was detained by the staff of the shopping mall. In addition, the publication added that the Ukrainian authorities were angry because Jolie did not warn them about her trip to the country.
